It's a very short quest, usually completed in 10-15 minutes. It mainly involves navigating the Lumbridge Swamp Caves and crafting a special bowl.
You need 43 Quest Points to start. Actions *within* the quest require 49 Firemaking, 20 Crafting, and 20 Mining. The OSRS Wiki states these skill levels are boostable.
You need a Lit Sapphire Lantern (requires Cut Sapphire, Bullseye Lantern, Tinderbox), Swamp Tar (if lantern is empty), a Chisel, and a Pickaxe. A Rope is needed for initial cave entry if not accessed via the Lumbridge cellar route (requires partial Lost Tribe).
Use a Cut Sapphire on a Bullseye Lantern (can be empty or unf), then light it with a Tinderbox. If the lantern is empty, you'll need Swamp Tar first. Ensure it's lit *before* entering the cave.
No combat is required for this quest. However, Wall Beasts in the Lumbridge Swamp Caves can grab and damage you if you aren't careful or using the Dorgeshuun entrance.
Once per week (or more with quest points), you can play the minigame to gain experience directly in your lowest-levelled skill, making it useful for balancing stats or training difficult skills.
