The Maggot King is a solo instanced boss in Vampyrium, unlocked by The Blood Moon Rises. It averages around 550k per kill and roughly 11M GP an hour, dropping the Elder venator fang for the necklace of rupture and the Crimson kisten crush weapon. The fight demands two combat styles, tight screech prayer timing and melee punish execution - our players handle all of it manually.

Important Note: Requires The Blood Moon Rises for Vampyrium access. Solo instanced fight needing TWO combat styles - the boss cannot be meleed until below ~980 HP (65%). Weakest to crush and heavy ranged; 80% susceptible to fire spells. Serpentine helm + anti-venom+ grants poisonous bile immunity, inoculation bracelet grants sticky bile immunity. Death fees are reduced by 75% for the first five kills. Client provides gear and supplies.

Is the Maggot King service safe?

Yes, 100%. Every kill is done manually by experienced PvMers who know the full screech, carrion and larvae rotation. No bots, ever.

What do I need to access the Maggot King?

You need The Blood Moon Rises completed for access to Vampyrium. We also recommend rescuing the aranei scout south-east of Sangvesti for quick travel, 64 Agility for the forest shortcuts, and 70 Construction to build the Sangvesti bank chest. If any of these are missing, we can sort them as part of the order.

How does the fight work?

It's a solo, instanced fight that requires two combat styles. The boss cannot be meleed until it drops below ~980 HP (65%), so the opening phase is Magic or Ranged, then melee punishes take over. Fire spells are the standout option thanks to an 80% fire susceptibility, stacking burn damage and a magic defence reduction of 20 per burn stack.

What's the best setup?

It is weakest to crush and heavy ranged. For the melee phase, slow crush weapons like the Elder maul or a godsword hit hardest because the melee punish grants an 85% defence roll reduction with crush plus a 50% damage boost. For the ranged phase, a Harmonised nightmare staff with fire surge, tome of fire and confliction gauntlets generally beats Tumeken's shadow here.

What's the difference between open-stomach and take-eggs?

After each kill you choose. Open-stomach rolls the normal drop table (Elder venator fang at 1/340, Crimson kisten at 1/520). Take-eggs sacrifices those drops for a better pet chance, at roughly 1/1,502 per take versus 1/3,500 on the normal table. Just tell us which you want and we'll farm accordingly.

Are the Elder venator fang or Crimson kisten guaranteed?

The Elder venator fang (1/340) upgrades a necklace of anguish into the necklace of rupture, the strongest ranged necklace in the game, using 84 Crafting. The Crimson kisten (1/520) is a two-handed crush weapon with a special attack, worth roughly 54M. Both are RNG drops - we guarantee kill count, not specific uniques.

What happens if the pet drops?

Congratulations! The Maggot marquess is 100% yours to keep if it drops during your order, at no extra cost.

Can Ironmen use this service?

Yes. Ironmen supply their own gear and supplies for both phases. Note that the boss frequently drops stymphike tartare and dull ancient medals, which restore prayer and heal, so trips are largely self-sustaining once they get going.
