The Awakened version significantly increases his stats, speeds up attacks, and enhances mechanics.
While max gear (Scythe/Fang/Soulreaper with Inquisitor, or Tbow/Bowfa with Masori) offers the fastest kills, good alternatives are viable for Normal mode. A strong crush weapon is recommended. A good pickaxe (Crystal/Dragon) is needed for the prep phase. Awakened Duke benefits greatly from strong gear. Discuss your setup beforehand.
