🤔 Frequently Asked King Black Dragon Questions
Kills are 100% manual. The KBD Lair itself is *not* Wilderness, but access requires briefly passing through low-level Wilderness (e.g., using the lever or Edgeville dungeon route). While PK risk is much lower than deep Wildy bosses, it's not zero. Minimal risk gear is sensible.
You MUST use an Anti-dragon Shield (or DFS/DFW) AND an Anti-fire Potion (Extended recommended) simultaneously to survive KBD's dragonfire breath.
KBD is weak to Stab and Ranged. A Dragon Hunter Lance/Hasta/Spear or a good crossbow (Dragon/Armadyl) with diamond bolts (e) or a Blowpipe are effective. Ranged is often preferred to avoid melee range specials.
The Dragon Pickaxe (~1/1500), Draconic Visage (~1/5000), and Skeletal Visage (~1/5000) are rare drops determined by OSRS RNG. The Prince Black Dragon pet is ~1/3000. We cannot guarantee these specific drops. We guarantee the number of kills.
KBD Heads can be mounted in a POH, used to recolor a Slayer Helmet, or used as an insurance reclaim item from Perdu for certain untradeables.
