It's a medium-length quest, typically taking 30-45 minutes. It involves traversing a dungeon with specific obstacles, some combat, and gathering items.
There are no prerequisite quests. You need 42 Thieving (boostable) to disarm a trap and 40 Ranged (not boostable) *if* you plan to use a Yew bow or better to defeat the Fire Warrior. The Ranged requirement can technically be bypassed by using thrown weapons with Ice Arrows equipped, but this is less efficient.
You need a bow (Yew or better recommended if meeting the Ranged req) or thrown weapons, Ice Arrows (obtainable during), 20 unnoted Limpwurt roots, a Light source, and the Pendant of Lucien (given at start). Weight-reducing gear is needed for the bridge (-1kg or less), Boots of Lightness can be obtained nearby if needed (requires light source + knife/slash wep).
You fight the Fire Warrior of Lesarkus (Level 84), which *must* be damaged with Ice Arrows (or thrown weapons with Ice Arrows equipped). It uses Magic, so Protect from Magic helps. Depending on your choice, you fight either Lucien (Level 14, very easy) or a Guardian of Armadyl (Level 43, easy).
No, the main quest rewards (XP, Pendants, access) are the same regardless of whether you side with Lucien or the Guardians of Armadyl. The only difference is the final easy fight.
Your character's weight must be -1kg or less. Wear weight-reducing gear like the Graceful outfit. If needed, you can get the Boots of Lightness (-4.5kg) from the cellar below the entrance room (requires slashing a web and a light source).
Yes. Ironmen need Limpwurt roots (farming/drops). The main challenge is acquiring a suitable bow (Yew+ from Fletching/PvM/Implings) or thrown weapons if they don't meet the 40 Ranged req, and potentially gathering materials for weight reduction / Boots of Lightness.
