OSRS Demon Slayer Quest Guide: A Free-to-Play Classic

Demon Slayer is one of the most iconic quests in Old School RuneScape. This free-to-play adventure sees you, a budding hero, tasked with saving the city of Varrock from the return of a powerful demon, Delrith. To do so, you must re-forge the legendary sword, Silverlight.

Quick Quest Walkthrough

Step 1: Starting the Quest

  • Speak to the Gypsy in her tent in Varrock, located just east of the main square. She will tell you of the dark wizards' plot to summon the demon Delrith.

Step 2: Sir Prysin's Keys

  • Go to Varrock Palace and speak to Sir Prysin. He will tell you that Silverlight is locked away, and he needs three different keys to open the box.
  • First Key: Sir Prysin will give you the first key.
  • Second Key: Go upstairs in the palace and speak to Captain Rovin. You must kill him, as he will drop the second key. A level 3 player can safespot him by trapping him on the table in the room.
  • Third Key: Go to the Blue Moon Inn, the pub in the south of Varrock. A wizard will be in one of the rooms. Kill him to get the final key.

Step 3: The Trapped Wizard

  • With all three keys, you must now find the wizard who knows the magical incantation.
  • Go to the Wizards' Tower, south of Draynor Village. Go down the ladder and speak to the wizard Traiborn.
  • He will ask you to bring him 25 bones to perform a ritual. Give him the bones, and he will tell you the magical words. Make sure to write these down or remember them!

Step 4: The Final Battle

  • Return to Sir Prysin in Varrock Palace with the three keys. He will give you the legendary sword, Silverlight.
  • Equip the Silverlight.
  • Go south of Varrock to the stone circle where the dark wizards are performing their ritual.
  • The wizards will summon the demon Delrith (level 27).
  • Attack Delrith with the Silverlight. He is extremely weak to this sword and the fight will be very easy.
  • Once you have "killed" him, you must say the magical incantation that Traiborn taught you to banish him permanently.

Congratulations, quest complete!
