Bread and a Tinderbox are needed initially. A Bucket of wax and Bat bones are obtained during the quest. Insect repellent is used to get the wax. Excalibur is received during the quest. Combat gear is recommended for Sir Mordred (Level 39).
No skill levels are required to start or complete the quest actions, although having 20 Attack allows wielding Excalibur, the reward.
Sir Mordred (Level 39) is easy. Thrantax the Mighty (Level 92 demon) only appears if you say the wrong magic words during the ritual and fighting him is avoidable by reciting correctly.
The Lady of the Lake gives it to you after you pass her test of purity by giving bread to a disguised beggar outside the Port Sarim jewellery shop.
