Recipe for Disaster - Freeing King Awowogei | OSRS Greegree & Teleport Unlock

This is a 'Long' RFD subquest, typically taking 45-75 minutes, especially if you need to make the required greegrees during the quest.

You need to have completed Monkey Madness I and started Recipe for Disaster. Actions within the quest require 70 Cooking (boostable) and 48 Agility (NOT boostable).

The 70 Cooking required for the final cooking step IS boostable. The 48 Agility required to access part of the Ape Atoll agility course is NOT boostable.

M'speak amulet, Karamjan monkey greegree (initially), Rope, Knife, Pestle & mortar. You'll also need the Gorilla, Ninja, and Zombie greegrees eventually (can be made during the quest if you bring Monkey Talismans and kill the required monkeys for bones). Basic ingredients like banana and monkey nuts are also needed initially.

Greegrees allow you to transform into different types of monkeys. You get the Karamjan one during Monkey Madness I. For this quest, you need Gorilla, Ninja, and Zombie greegrees. To make them, bring Monkey bones (from the respective monkey type) and a Monkey Talisman to Zooknock in the Ape Atoll dungeon.

The main mandatory combat is against a level 84 Big Snake (poisonous). If you need to make the greegrees during the quest, you'll fight level 82/129 Zombie Monkeys, level 86 Monkey Archers (Ninja), and level 167 Monkey Guards (Gorilla), which can be challenging and require specific tactics (safespotting Ranged/Magic).

A spell unlocked by this subquest (requires 64 Magic) that teleports you directly to the Ape Atoll jungle, useful for future visits.

Yes. They must have completed MM1. If they don't have the required greegrees, they'll need Monkey Talismans (buyable on Ape Atoll) and the ability to kill the specific monkeys for bones. They also need access to ingredients like bananas, monkey nuts, rope, knife, pestle & mortar.
